Fleetwater Swift was 3 yr old Performance Horse Champion, a film star at 4 yrs, and competed successfully in eventing at Intermediate level.
His sire Achtermann was graded in Germany as a 2yo, before being imported and also graded with the SHB and BWBS. As well as the graded stallion Fleetwater Swift, he also produced several graded daughters and a number of good eventers and show jumpers. Achtermann competed in Dressage, qualifying for regional finals at Novice, Elementary and Medium levels as a 5 year old, but this promising start was cut short due to an injury when eventing at 6 years. Later he hunted and did some shows under sidesaddle and was a very good schoolmaster eventer.
Dam Seeschwalbe lV was imported by Fleetwater Stud. She came from the very famous family of Elite mare Schwarze Schwalbe by Traumgeist xx, who was a direct daughter of the Trakehner foundation mare Schwalbe (by Totilas). The family that was established by Schwalbe is one of the breed’s biggest and most proven lines and has branched out into many smaller families. Schwarze Schwalbe’s branch has produced such stallions as Santiago, Showmaster, Sans Souci, Stradivari, Shavalou, Seigneur (ATA) Showstar, Songline and Schwadroneur, Sire of the Year 2000 in Denmark. Schwadroneur is one of the most succesful dressage horses in Denmark, ridden by Anne Grethe Törnblad (victorious in 36 dressage tests up to Grand Prix level). He was also reserve -champion at the stallion performance test at Adelheidsdorf (including placing fourth in jumping!). Seeschwalbe lV was a very prolific breeder, producing 19 foals.
Xenushka was by Xenarchus, himself a Young Rider dressage team horse, who was bred at Catherston stud by Grand Prix Dressage stallion Xenocles (TB) out of Champion Show Hack Grey Owl (AA)
Her dam Opushka was the Fleetwater Stud’s foundation mare. She was bought as a Premium Hunter Brood Mare, however from her papers it was discovered that she was an Elite Graded Trakehner from Kirov Stud in Russia, from the same family as Olympic Dressage Silver Medallist Pepel and Olympic Showjumper Almox Prints J, and her granddam Corinna was born at the main stud at Trakehnen. Corinna’s daughter Corrida founded the much prized C – line in the German Stud Book. Opushka was the first Trakehner mare Elite Graded in England. Opushka has proved the strength of her pedigree by producing stock that has won up to International level, and the next generations are showing the same promise. She produced 15 foals in 16 breeding years, amongst them:
Date Up -Mare 1970 by Dated Piece (TB). Twice Norwegian National Showjumping champion, medallist at Pan American Games, jumped in World Championship in Dublin. A very highly regarded broodmare who produced foals in USA by Abdullah, Galoubet etc, many by embryo transfer.
High Spot Graded mare 1975 by Derrick (TB). Advanced dressage, reserve for British Young Riders Team, dam of Hallingbury Fleetwater L’Ecosse, who was winner of many Medium & Advanced dressage competitions and £196 BSJA in 3 outings.
Fleetwater Opposition stallion 1977 by Muschamp Danube.Graded in Britain and in Germany. Team and individual gold medal winner at Junior European Event Championship 1983. Advanced Dressage. TBF Award of excellence.

Championships 1999.
Opposition Heracles: British Eventing Breeding Champion at both 5 and 6 years.
Fleetwater Oppidan Gelding 1980 by Muschamp Danube. Advanced eventer, won Gatcombe, placed Burghley 3 day event. Also nearly Grade A show jumping and Advanced Medium Dressage.
Fleetwater Olympus Stallion 1984 by Downlands Hasardeur. TBF Graded and performance tested. Graded BWBS, life approved by the Sports Horse Breeders (GB).Champion riding horse, Dressage to Medium level. Masterlock finalist with top showjumping marks. Qualified Novice Horse Trials Championship in first season. G’sire of: Woodlands Unique Comet: 6 year old winner British Eventing Breeding Championship. Intermediate Event Horse Olympus Hale Bop: AHS Grade A Premium stallion, NaStA Performance Grade 1 Elite. In his first year of competition (rising 5), he earned well over 100 dressage points.
Xsarina is currently in-foal to Tycoon, due mid-May 2009. She is NOT FOR SALE, however I am looking for a long-term competition loan for her as she deserves the opportunity to prove her ability. If you are interested please talk to Louise King about possibilities.
